One Shining BUZZ
Buzz nearly goes wire-to-wire to capture Big Dance '02 crown

Monday, April 1

BUZZ

BUZZ Argent settled in early, then coasted to the Big Dance '02 title. Along with the Big Dance prestige, Buzz receives $269.50 for his effort.

Should BUZZ be unable to fulfill his Big Dance duties, second-place finisher Gregg Cascaes ($77) will assume the role of Big Dance Grand Poobah.

The youthful and talented Hannah Garry and and the old and . . . old Chris Seyer will split the third-place booty, each earning a cool $19.25 after taxes.

Just Give BUZZ the Damn Lead!
Late-night insight from ESPN vixen helps BUZZ take lead; Seyer looming

Sunday, March 24

BUZZ

Smith

BUZZ Argent used his status near the top of the Big Dance '02 leaderboard to do some late-night insiding with ESPN reporter Shelley Smith in Madison, WI over the weekend, helping him take over the top spot after four rounds.

Smith, who is in negotiations to follow her controversial book "Just Give Me the Damn Ball!" (written with New York Jets wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson following the 1996 NFL season) with a work on the saga that is the Big Dance '02, hob-nobbed with committee members and entrants on State Street on Saturday night in Madison. Smith, whose vacation in Mexico began early when her tournament assignment - the Oregon Ducks - were humiliated on the boards Sunday, is contemplating leaving the sports network for a upward move to the Big Dance '03 committee. See ya later, Sally.

The Final Four should keep those still in Big Dance '02 contention sweating, hopefully not as much as Maryland head coach Gary Williams. Get this clown a towel.

Sharon Morlock catches BUZZ, takes Big Dance '02 lead
Sunday, March 17

Morlock

BUZZ

The first weekend of the Big Dance has come and gone . . . and so has Cincinnati, Alabama, Georgia, Gonzaga, and my chances of winning the Big Dance '02 pool.

Big Dance pool veteran Sharon Morlock tops the leaderboard with 490 points after the first weekend of games. The Stewartville, MN coach/educator/prognosticator rode the second-round darling Salukis and Bruins to a strong round of 32 total to put her just ahead of BUZZ Argent.

When he wasn't competing in the World Series of Pai Gow, BUZZ spent the weekend trying to stay on top of the oddsmakers in Vegas. The Pai Gow Pimp Daddy will spend this week near the top of the Big Dance '02 leaderboard after piling up 470 points over the first two rounds.

The Big Dance committee, as well as his BUZZness, will convene this weekend in Madison, WI for Regional action.
