'Cuse, Carmelo, and Carl: Very Toight
published Tuesday, April 8

It's official: bad free throw shooting is contagious. Syracuse spent most of the last 15 years trying to overcome historically bad shooting from the foul line. The charity stripe gods smiled upon the 'Cuse in New Orleans. Texas and Kansas gave away point after point from the line to give the Orangemen and Carl a Big Dance victory.

HOLY MACKEREL! HOLY MACKEREL!
published Monday, March 31

Commissioner McGuire is smiling. It took 26 years, but everything is seashells and balloons again in Milwaukee: the Marquette Warriors, errr, Golden Eagles are back in the Final Four.

As for the Big Dance, the very sexual, the very toight Carl is sitting on a one hundred point cushion heading into New Orleans.

The first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament and the Big Dance '03 have come and gone, and so have the Gators and the Demon Deacons. There were Nuckles and there were Blizzards, but there are far fewer in Big Dancers with that snowball's chance in hell.

I want to put on . . . my my my my my boogie shoes
published Sunday, March 16

It's time again.

The NCAA tournament field is set and the Big Dance '03 pool is upon us.

There will be upsets, inane commentary from Billy Packer, a 12 over a 5, and some rhyming Big Dance haiku:

Five dollars per chance
Should be a kick in the pants
Down to you, Jim Nantz

Check out the Rules to get your picks made and entered. As always, the Big Dance Committee will preside over the festivities.

As a service to Big Dancers, we strongly advise against picking the following:

  • Minnesota
  • St. Bonaventure
  • Morris Brown (6-20, RPI 327)
