Are you serious?
Arizona gets Luted; Kentucky eats it; Johnshoy leads but Dukies die; Big Al Berube looms
Sunday, March 27, 2005

Bad weekend to be a Wildcat. Unless you enjoy dribbling out the clock with your season in the balance, doing a whole lot of nothing, and heading somewhere other than St. Louis. Such is the fate for Wildcats Arizona and Wildcats Kentucky. Peace out.

As for the fate of Big Dancers, Mike Johnshoy is this week's paper lion. Atop the leaderboard but with Duke topping his bracket, he must hope for a Michigan State victory over Illinois in the title game. Lurking with hopes of a Carolina over L'ville final is Big Al Berube, one of the finest Big Dancers of all time. Shout out to Big Al of Toyon Hall fame.

The rest of the possibilities hang in the balance and are left for you to figure out (like you have anything better to do on a Monday), but one that's set in stone is a last-place tie for Scronic and Harold Bingo. Sweet Judy Brown Eyes.

Jayhawks, 'Cuse, Deacons fall; Goldberg, Gilliss rise
Sunday, March 20, 2005

Matt Goldberg (San Francisco, CA) and Trent Gilliss (St. Paul, MN) top the Big Dance '05 leaderboard after the first weekend of the NCAA tournament.

The good news for the rest of us is that we don't have to hear about the overhyped "best player you may not have heard of" Taylor Coppenrath (5-23 FG vs. Michigan State), but we do get to look forward to more helpings of Raftery & Lundquist in the Sweet 16. Woo woo!
