Crickey! It's The Gators
 Silverman Takes Pot

 UPDATED:Monday, April 3, 2006

The Florida Gators stole the shining moment . . . and Jon Silverman took home the lion's share of the Big Dance booty. Silverman was the lone Big Dancer to pick Florida to cut down the nets in Indy.

A pair of Jeffs - Glackler and Sand - earned 2nd and 3rd place respectively.

We, the Patriots of GMU . . .
UPDATED:Sunday, March 26, 2006
The George Mason Patriots have officially funked up Big Dance brackets far and wide, shocking favorite UConn Sunday. The rest of the Final Four isn't nearly as surprising, yet lacks a #1 seed - featuring a #2 (UCLA), a #3 (Florida) and a #4 (LSU).
UCLA LSU George Mason Florida

Safe to say, there are more Big Dance entries without the possibility of additional points than ever before heading into the Final Four. A few of the UCLA, Florida, and LSU believers still have some possible punch left. The rest of us . . . suck.

Dead

Friday was a bad day to be a Hawk. Irish eyes were not smiling upon the Jayhawks of Kansas or the Hawkeyes of Iowa, the biggest victims of the first round of the Big Dance '06. The Iowa loss didn't wreak nearly as much havoc on Big Dance brackets as the KU exit did. Tennessee, Carolina and Ohio State uglied some more brackets in round two.

The top of the leaderboard after the first two rounds is below. That PPR (points possible remaining) column hurts. FU KU.

If you didn't see Greg Owen's meltdown on the 17th green at Bay Hill on Sunday . . . I don't recommend it. It didn't get any better on the 18th. Demons.

Bada Bing!

Sunday, March 12, 2006

Selection Sunday falling on the same day as the Season 6 premiere of The Sopranos? Unless somebody is planning on getting me onto Augusta National in my lifetime, this might be as good as it gets.

It's time again. The field of 64+1 is set. There are 1 seeds, there are 2 seeds . . . hell, there are even 16 seeds! Fill out your bracket. You might win! No. Probably not. The odds are not in your favor. But it will give you something to do for the next few weeks. And it don't cost nothing. Well, except $10 which you will most likely never see again. Game on.

You know how it works: Make your picks on ESPN Men's Tournament Challenge '06, join our Big Dance 06 group, gather up your printed bracket and a crisp, new Alexander Hamilton and . . . "send it in, Jerome!." May God bless Bill Raftery.

See Rules for complete details.
