Gorter + Gators = Big Dance glory
Brian Gorter claims Big Dance cash, prizes, fame as Florida repeats

The smart money was on the Florida Gators to repeat. Twenty Big Dancers were smart, including Big Dance veteran Brian Gorter (Inver Grove Heights, MN), who pulled down the big prize Monday night as Florida rolled over Ohio State in Atlanta. Gorter hovered at or near the top of the big board throughout the entire tournament, registering the highest Big Dance tally ever during a March that was largely devoid of upset madness.

Aaron Meyer (Rochester, MN) took home 2nd place, while Officer Brice Sand (Monticello, MN) continued the storied Big Dance prowess of the Sand family, taking 3rd place.

The rest of us were, as anticipated, losers. Check out the full leaderboard to see where the rest of the suckers ended up.

Big Dance underway; Bucky & Bo depart

Thursday and Friday were boring. Too boring. The weekend brought at least some madness, if not many upsets. Despite scares for Ohio State, G'town, and UCLA, Wisconsin was the only #1 or #2 seed to make an early exit.

Which means the Big Dancers are bunched up, most with a hefty number of possible points remaining (PPR). So for at least one more week, most of us can pretend like we still have a chance.
