Kara Sand wins Big Dance '11

None of the Big Dance '11 entrants picked either Butler or UConn to win it all, but Kara Sand (Minneapolis, MN), the youngest of the six Big Dance '11 entrants from the Sand clan, picked enough winners to take home the biggest prize.

Anne Wicks (Santa Monica, CA) followed up her Big Dance '10 victory with a second place finish this year. Jeff "Jerkstore" Kolpack (Fargo, ND) took home the bronze.

The Big East sucks

Charles Barkley has it right and Rick Pitino is a jackass. The mighty Big East saw its 11 overhyped tourney entrants reduced to two after the first weekend. And both of those (UConn and Marquette) advanced to the Sweet 16 by beating OTHER FREAKING BIG EAST TEAMS. Which means it would have been nearly impossible for this imperialistic monstrosity to be any more of a failure, even if the commisioner mandated that all league coaches dress like Colonel Sanders. Ha ha. Suck it.

Which brings us to the Big Dance '11 leaderboard. Someone named Isaac Nicholson has the pole position after the first weekend, with Chris Peterson (Denver, CO) and Kain Carlson (Fargo, ND) on his heels.
